Sergio Aguero signs new deal


The Argentine forward Sergio Agüero has signed a two year deal with the Catalans Barcelona football club.

He was announced by the Barcelona football club via a video.

Sergio whose side, Manchester City lost the 2021 Uefa Champions League to Chelsea football club 29 of this month signed the two year deal with a release clause of 100 million euros.

Meanwhile, Agüero has the premier league record of 275 appearances and scored 184 goals with 47 assists. Although he has been going through difficulties in the past years battling with several injuries that made him own 2 goals in 7 matches in the just concluded 2021 Uefa Champions League and 4 goals in 12 premier league matches this recently concluded season.

During his time at Manchester City, Aguero won 15 pieces of silverware – five Premier League titles, six Carabao Cups, one FA Cup and three Community Shields and he also became the club’s all-time record goalscorer, netting 260 goals in 390 games.

Agüero will be playing in la liga the second time as he has played in Atletico Madrid for five seasons before moving to Manchester City in 2011. He helped the Atletico to win the 2010 Europa League and 2011 Uefa Super League.
