Jamb to stop below 18
The Nigerian Senate has made move to stop Joint Admission Matriculation Board JAMB from admitting candidates below 18years. The senate committee on Basic Education has said there will be an amendment in the law that established JAMB.
This was disclosed on Monday by the vice chairman of the committee Senator Akon Eyakenyi during the committee’s visit to JAMB. The committee believed that age has a lot to do with learning ability and performance in schools especially higher institutions.

Senator Akon who said that education is a very important tool for development in a country also described the JAMB as a link between secondary school and higher institution.
He further stressed that the education agency is a necessary platform for quality and standard education delivery for Nigeria.
