Ondo governorship: APC and PDP candidates fault each other

At the just concluded Ondo governorship debate hosted by channels TV in Akure, the candidate of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Eyitayo Jegede tells the incumbent governor a candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Rotimi Akeredolu that he has not seen an impact of good governance in his administration.

The debate that lasted for 2 hours ended with a lot of arguments between the two candidates ranging from Cocoa and bitumen production to SARS brutality. Eyitayo who lamented over the under development of the southern side of the State such as total black out for  three and a half years and lack of infrastructure in the zone.

Eyitayo who ignored the outnumbered achievements of the government while responding to the question from Mr governor of he Eyitayo has felt impact of good of good governance said

“unfortunately I have not seen impact of good governance in the south and haven’t seen enough in the central but I will do more than you”.

Meanwhile, Akeredolu faults Eyitayo for the failures of Mimiko’s regime pointing that a road leading to Eyitayo”s house was not tarred until he got to government. Eyitayo jokingly responded that the road was  tarred because the special assistant in infrastructure to governor Akeredolu lives in the area noting that he was a commissioner then and not a governor.
