Following the ENDSARS protest that has grounded economic and official activities nationwide. Ondo state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has directed all schools that resumed 19th October, 2020 to shut down for the meantime from tomorrow 21st October, 2020.

This was announced by the commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Femi Agagu.
He disclosed that the directive is to ensure safety of students and staff in the state while parents and the public are to note the directive and comply by all schools.
However, the state government assured the resumption of schools as soon as possible. It was also gathered that the Ekiti State Government has ordered the closure of all private and public schools within the state.
Commissioner for Education of the State Dr Kofoworola Olabimpe who disclosed this in a press release noted that it is a step to safe guard the loves of students and staff.
