In a bid to curbing cybercrime in Nigeria the Nigerian Police Force has launched a cybercrime reporting web portal and also arrested 3 suspects for cyber related offences.
The Police Force who disclosed this in a press release confirmed that fifty thousand email accounts and passwords has been uncovered from a suspect.
It was further gathered that the portal which can be accessed by clicking on the link incb.police.gov.ng is part of efforts directed at ensuring ease of crime reportage by members of the public to enable prompt investigation.

Meanwhile,the Nigerian Police Force assured that cybercrime cases will promptly be attended to by the Cybercrime Unit of the Force domiciled with the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) Force Headquarters, Abuja and the newly created Cybercrime Unit at the INTERPOL Annex, Alagbon close, Ikoyi Lagos.
According to the Force portal is expected to provide updates on achievements being recorded by the Nigeria Police and will, among other things, avail the citizens knowledge of basic cyber-related issues such as emerging cybercrime trends.
