National Assembly urge inspector General of Police

The national assembly at her today’s plenary has urged th Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu to ensure holistic comprehensive reform of the Nigeria Police Force.

“We don’t want any harm to befall our children. We want to appeal to our children and kids to give this government the opportunity to address this issue.” – Deputy President of the Senate” Senator Ovie Omo-Agege disclosed at the sitting. The Senate further resolved that the three tiers of government should put in place and sustain policies of social economic reforms that raise the standard of lives of Nigerians.

At the sitting, Senate urged the Nigerian youths to approach the National Assembly Committes Constitution and Reforms in order to secure quick and easy amendment that are vital to the restructuring the country, also advised the federal government to comprehensively implement all the five demands of the Endsars protesters with necessary timeline to rekindle confidence in government and urged the President of Nigeria Mohammadu Buhari to address the public as soon as possible.

Also at the plenary the Senate resolved by appealing to the government of Cross River and Ebonyi state to initiate peace processes and direct the National Boundary Commission (NBC) to accelerate a formal delineation of the entire stretch of boundary between the two States.
