MTN offers assistance to EFCC in tackling Cybercrime

MTN, a telecommunication company in Nigeria has offered assistance to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC)in tackling the online and computer related fraud in the country.

This was disclosed by the media and publicity unit of the anti graft agency today confirming it with a visit from the MTN Chief Executive Officer CEO, Nigeria Karl Toriola  to the Lagos Zonal head of EFCC Ahmed Ghali where the official assistance was declared.

According to Toriola who said “The most important part of my role as CEO is stakeholders management and to support government agencies,especially security agencies” further pledged the company’s continuous assistance to the Commission.

Ghali,while welcoming the visiting CEO described the visit as a long expected one and also urged other telecommunication companies to support the ongoing fight against cybercrime.
