Nigerian singer and hit maker Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, widely known as Iyanya confessed that he begged for shows last year and even performed two more for free but now getting paid for shows.
Iyanya made this statement on his social media page today appreciating God, team and fans for his come back.
He further revealed his steps to the comeback and reuniting with his former partner and manager Ubi Franklin whom he parted ways with few years ago.
He also said that he jumped on emerging trends, set up recording camps and used social media page effectively.

Last year December 2021, I performed at 3 shows, one paid and I begged to perform at 2 just to be seen.
2022 December, I wake up and everyday to alerts for shows, haven’t had this kind of busy december since 2017.

The kukere crooner extend gratitude to the producers that worked on his project titled “The 6th Wave” which includes Rewards beatz, Suga Vibes, Rogerlino, Pryme and other artistes like Don jazzy, Ayra Starr, Kizz Daniel, and others that came through for him.
Recalled that He rose to fame after winning the first season of Project Fame West Africa and is best known for his hit single “Kukere”. He co-founded the record label Made Men Music Group with Ubi Franklin in 2011.
He released his debut studio album My Story in 2011. It was supported by the singles “No Time” and “Love Truly”. Desire, his second studio album, contained five singles: “Kukere”, “Ur Waist”, “Flavour”, “Sexy Mama”, and “Jombolo”. He won the Artist of the Year award at The Headies 2013.
In a bid to maintaining his standard, he signed a record label deal with Mavins Records in 2016.
