Burnaboy receives Grammy award plaque

Grammy award winning Nigerian Damini Ogulu Ebunoluwa popularly known as Burnaboy has received his Grammy award plaque for his own work.

This was revealed by Burnaboy on his Instagram handle today with a caption that reads;


“Early morning deliveries from across the pond my parents prayed for excellent children,not houses, not cars or things they asked my sister stellar degree, one got a first class in Finance the other got a distinction in Engineering they asked me for Grammy and here we are”

Recalled that he won the Grammy’s  2020 Best Global Album with Twice as Tall and he is the first Nigerian to have a Grammy plaque for his own work.

Twice As Tall is the highest charting African album ever as well as the first ever Nigerian project to win a Grammy.
