The Governor of Ondo State, Odunayo Rotimi Akeredolu SAN, has reacted to the utterances made by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Mr Shehu Malami SAN.
Akeredolu who made this statement via press release expressed dissatisfaction at the AGF’s comment on the resolution of the Southern Governors Forum to ban open grazing in their respective States.
The Governor in his press release stated that comparing the open grazing which has led to loss of lives, properties and farmlands, and endangered untold hardships on community hosts with buying and selling of spare part is annoying, betrays and how’re terrible to mindset.
The Governor further advised Malami to approach the court to the legality of laws of the respective states banning open grazing
Akeredolu Rotimi again reiterated that the decision of the Southern Governors Forum will hold water as it is taken in the interest of their people.
“The decision to ban open grazing stays. It will be enforced with vigour”. Akeredolu stated.
